Could be the cleanest neatest room in New Zealand.
I would believe you if you told me no one else had ever stayed in this room. I’ve never been in a cleaner motel. It is amazingly well appointed. I loved having ground coffee and a filter!!! Even kept the wrapper to buy the brand again. When I arrived ( not having booked ) the owners had a room ready for just in case!!! The lights and heater were on! Lovely in 0 degrees. The room was wonderful. Being able to purchase a frozen meal to eat in the room was superb!!! Just needed wine! Feels like you are the first to use the room ever!
This is a fantastic venue. Feels like you are the first to ever use the facilities. Lovely comfortable bed. Room toasty warm because the radiator packs a punch heat wise and can be adjusted to suit your comfort level. Brilliant because you are not kept awake by a heater or heat pump turning on and off next to you. Felt like under floor heating in the bathroom or very well insulated. No cold tile on your feet! Peaceful
Very very comfortable and peaceful.. very clean and tidy spacious rooms and an amazing big bed very comfortable.. when the chance comes again will definitely go for a quiet weekend away 👍.. Great place to break your journey.
Great place to stay if you want to break your journey, north or south, or stay in the area for a while. The rooms are immaculately clean and spacious, and all of the fittings are superb. Fantastic and very unexpected
Without meaning to sound patronising, accommodation of this standard was the last thing we expected in a small country town. It was definitely the most luxurious motel we stayed in during our two weeks in the South Island. Being so new, everything was clean and fresh, with wonderful beds and a great bathroom. My only negative comment would be that the lounge furniture was not suited to old bones (needed to be higher and with less depth so you didn't need a cushion behind you for support). Highly recommended
We recently did a three week road trip of the South Island, our first since we retired. We stayed in Murchison for three nights. We’d booked a one-bedroom unit at the Grand Suites, after doing some research online. Booking online was very easy and quick. We were very happy when we arrived, it’s a very new, large complex. Carly on the reception desk welcomed us very warmly and was very pleasant to deal with. Our room was lovely, we were really pleased with it. We had a VERY comfortable super king sized bed in the bedroom. The bathroom was very well appointed and quite roomy. The heated floor was lovely!! There were heaters which we did use as the weather was cooling down as winter approaches. All the units are ground floor. Our room (# 23) backed onto the main road (SH6) but the windows were double glazed so we didn’t hear the cars going by. Occasionally you could hear a truck dully, but it didn’t disturb our sleep at all. Parking is right outside each unit, in a large roomy courtyard in the middle of the complex. Spotless and modern motel

Beautiful
I totally agree with the other reviews. This place is immaculate. It looks like a new build. The lovely lady on reception offered to upgrade us for which I was very grateful. The best in Murchison
Stayed here for 1 night in March and one of the nicest motels I have stayed at in a very long time. The rooms very, very spacious and well equipped. Reception was very friendly and helpful.
